MANILA — Bureau of Immigration (BI) Commissioner Joel Viado on Friday ordered the immediate dismissal of officers implicated in the escape of a high-profile South Korean fugitive while attending a hearing in Quezon City.
The BI likewise filed criminal complaints before the Department of Justice (DOJ) amid the newly obtained security footage and testimonial evidence that point to possible collusion within the agency, Viado said in a news release.
