CLARK FREEPORT — Recognized as a hub of business and investments, Clark is also getting renown as a center for art and heritage. The latter manifesting anew as the Clark Museum opened Beyond the Canvas: Women’s Stories in Art, a visual exhibit featuring 13 oiloncanvas works by Pampanga artist Marie DC.
Running from Nov. 28 to Dec. 15, the exhibit highlights themes of love, motherhood, spirituality, and resilience – narratives deeply rooted in Kapampangan identity.
“Paintings speak to us, they evoke feelings and in paintings you see the passion, the talent, and the purpose,” keynoted Clark Development Corp. president and CEO Atty. Agnes VST Devanadera at the opening ceremony.
The program forms part of CDC’s Meetings, Incentives, Conferences, and Exhibitions (MICE) initiative, which expands cultural programming and provides platforms for local artists.
Marie DC described her collection as a tribute to the “many untold stories of women” in Kapampangan life.
“I am very thankful to Atty. Agnes Devanadera at sa CDC for giving us an opportunity to showcase our artworks, especially here in Clark Museum,” she said.
Local officials from Batangas and Sampaloc, Quezon also attended the opening as part of their cultural benchmarking visit in Clark. CDC-PR
