First lady graces FL Goldenberg Concert Series featuring Philippine Philharmonic Orchestra

MANILA, Philippines — First lady Liza Araneta-Marcos graced another edition of the Goldenberg Concert Series, this time featuring the Philippine Philharmonic Orchestra Woodwind Quintet last August 1.

In an Instagram post, the first lady thanked the world-class Filipino musicians for “sharing their gift and keeping our cultural heritage alive.”

“There’s something magical about our Filipino classics brought to life by the Philippine Philharmonic Orchestra,” she said.

“At the Goldenberg Concert Series, the PPO Woodwind Quintet filled the air with the soul of our kundimans and moving tributes to our National Artists — each note a beautiful echo of our heritage,” she added.

Held every first Friday of each month, the Goldenberg Concert Series is an initiative of the first lady providing a platform for musicians to showcase their skills.

It is her way of ingraining music and the arts in Filipinos, especially the youth.

The Goldenberg Mansion is one of the three historical structures within the Malacañang Complex which underwent major renovation upon the assumption of office of President Ferdinand Marcos Jr., the other two being Bahay Ugnayan Museum and Teus Mansion.
