GUIMBA, Nueva Ecija – A lady member of the sangguniang bayan of nearby Sto. Domingo town was found dead with multiple bullet wounds inside her sedan in Barangay Maturanoc here at about 6 a.m. Sunday.
Police identified the victim as municipal councilor Angelique Alexis “Angge” Paulino, 33, a resident of Barangay Sto. Rosario, Sto. Domingo, Nueva Ecija.
She was No. 1 councilor and chairperson of the committees on ways and means and market.
Initial investigation showed the victim was to attend a high school reunion when the incident happened.
A language and literature graduate from University of the Philippines-Baguio, Paulino is remembered by the SB staff as “a simple and jolly official.”
Police are reportedly running after the gunman who was “close” to the victim, sources said.
