DPWH completes covered court, enhances Bataan town

BALANGA CITY (PIA) — The Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) has completed a P7.42-million covered court in Hermosa, Bataan.

The facility, located in Barangay Palihan, now hosts community activities.

DPWH Bataan 1st District Engineer Erlindo Flores, Jr. stated that the 600-square-meter space provides residents with an area for various events, such as sports, meetings, and social gatherings.

“This newly constructed multipurpose building has numerous social benefits, providing farmers with a space for gathering and transporting their rice produce, and it will also function as an emergency evacuation center during calamities,” Flores said.

The project, funded under the 2024 national budget, included repairs to the existing stage, which further enhances the facility’s functionality and utility for the community. (CLJD/RPQ, PIA Region 3-Bataan)
