The Department of Migrant Workers (DMW) reported the safe return of a new batch of Filipinos from Israel as tensions in the Middle East persist.

In a statement on Saturday, the DMW said that 25 Filipinos landed at Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA) Terminal 1 at around 9 p.m.

The group included 24 Overseas Filipino Workers (OFWs) and one child.

This marks the fourth batch of repatriates to cross the Taba border in Egypt and the fifth group repatriated from Israel.

DMW said the repatriates received immediate financial and medical assistance from the agency and the Overseas Workers’ Welfare Administration (OWWA).

They were also provided with transportation and accommodation support as they return to their respective homes across the country.—MCG, GMA Integrated News
