Senator Imee Marcos graces ABBCA graduation in Oro

CAGAYAN DE ORO CITY – No less than Senator Imee Marcos graced the graduation of high school students of the Asian Business Cabletow Cooperative Academy (ABCCA), held at USTP gym in this city, from May 27-28, 2024.

The graduation was also graced by Misamis Oriental Governor Peter Unabia, mayors and board members.    

In a press conference, Senator Imee reiterated his full support for ABBCA education especially for poor families in the far-flung areas.

She said no one should be left behind as far as education is concerned, and she is very happy with the presence of ABBCA in many areas in Misamis Oriental and in Cagayan de Oro.

“Kailangan maamyenda and ibat-ibang batas like Republic Act 6278 upang obligahin ang lahat ng magkakaroon ng ganoong uri ng pag aaral,” the senator said.

Senator Imee added that digital education nowadays should be welcomed by the students especially in the hinterland barangays.

Meanwhile, Soc Anthony Ma. Del Rosario, chairman of ABBCA, explained ABCCA’s mission of committing itself to “provide holistic and continuous practical education in aid of poverty alleviation.”

He said students in the remote areas of the country should be given fair chances of educating themselves through the other medium in education – be it face-to-face, TV, digital or other distant learning practices.

Governor Unabia, for his part, also thanked Soc del Rosario for bringing ABBCA not only in Cagayan de Oro but also in Misamis Oriental.

Unabia said ABBCA’s mission and goals is also part of his vision and mission to make education as among the the best tool to make the family improve its living condition.

This year’s graduation carries the theme: “Kabataang Pilipino sa Matatag na kinabukasan ng Bagong Pilipinas,” with 2,700 graduating students.
