Rotary International District 3870 Governor-Elect Gilda “Gigi” Go has appointed Gingoog City-based businesswoman and civic leader Maggie Gudella Zapanta-Tse as the new Rotary Community Corps in the district for RY 2023-2024. A Rotary Community Corps is a group of non-Rotarians who share their commitment to changing the world through service projects. Rotary Community Corps members plan and carry out projects in their communities and support local Rotary club projects.
Sponsored by a Rotary club, a Rotary Community Corps leverages Rotary’s network, brand and mentorship by partnering with clubs to plan and implement service projects. Rotary Community Corps increase Rotary’s impact and expand its reach by bringing the knowledge and talents of local people to strengthen their community through sustainable projects. There are more than 11,000 Rotary Community Corps in the world. They are active everywhere Rotary is present: in urban and rural areas and in both developed and developing countries. With this new development, Zapanta-Tse will join the Rotary International District 3870 leadership team for the next year, kicking off this June, overseeing 44 clubs in the provinces of Bukidnon, Misamis Oriental, Lanao del Norte, Lanao del Sur, North Cotabato, Sultan Kudarat, Maguindanao, Camiguin and Cagayan de Oro City.
