CAGAYAN DE ORO CITY (PIA)–In carrying out its vision, “Bawat Filipino, Miyembro; Bawat Miyembro, Protektado; Kalusugan ng lahat sigurado,” the Philippine Health Insurance Corporation (PhilHealth)-10 joins the nationwide-simultaneous PhilHealth Summit and Konsulta Membership Registration 2023 to widen its Konsulta Package campaign to both new and existing members, June 3.
“We are highlighting the benefits of Konsulta, and we are encouraging everyone to take care of their health since the Konsulta is more of a preventive [care package],” Philhealth-10 Public Affairs Office Head Merlyn Ybañez shared.
The PhilHealth Konsulta Benefit Package is a primary care service that offers preventive care, including consultations, health risk screening and assessment, 13 laboratory tests, and 21 maintenance drugs and medicines.

PhilHealth-10 aims to entice more private healthcare providers to join and be accredited as Konsulta providers to their members. As of March 2023, a total of 95 Konsulta providers are now accredited with the agency.
Meanwhile, members are reminded that under the existing Universal Health Care Law, immediate eligibility is provided regardless of membership status and that they can still avail of the benefit packages that PhilHealth has to offer provided that during or within the confinement period they are members of PhilHealth. PhilHealth members, especially self-paying individuals, are still encouraged to pay their delayed contributions to avoid penalties.
“Contribution is not a hindrance for members to avail of the benefits [we are offering], they can still avail,” Ybañez added.
PhilHealth-10 invites all private healthcare facilities and providers to be part of the Konsulta Providers so that more members can avail of the programs. They also assure their members that they are doing their best to add more Konsulta providers so that all members in the region can choose their providers and avail of the said package. (JAKA/PIA-10)
