Misamis Oriental – The Provincial Local Environment & Natural Resources Office (PLENRO) gathered the City and Municipal ENROs of this province to train about the Proper Procedure in the Conduct of Ambient Air and Water Quality Monitoring.
PLENRO’s objective is to empower ENROs with the knowledge needed to assess and maintain the quality of air and water in their respective areas, ensuring compliance with Department of Environment & Natural Resources (DENR) standards.
According to Opol MENRO Engr. Randolph Hallasgo, “this training is very important so that it is easy to know where the pollution in the air and water is coming from and it is also easy to take appropriate action”.
Expressing his gratitude, Hallasgo stressed the need for accelerated collaboration between Local Government Units (LGUs) and DENR – Environmental Management Bureau (EMB 10) for the collective benefit of the community.
This activity is in line with the PAGLAUM development agenda of Governor Peter “Sr. Pedro” M. Unabia aligning with the letter U for Unified Efforts for Health and Social Services Delivery, underscoring his commitment to a sustainable and healthy environment
In collaboration with DENR – EMB 10, this training is a pivotal step toward fostering unified efforts in environmental management, ultimately serving the well-being of the province and the region. (by Gerry Lee Gorit)
