On December 4, 2023 the Misamis Oriental Provincial Capitol Grounds dazzled with vibrant colors during this year’s Christmas lighting ceremony, featuring the debut of 20 stunning candidates for the Miss Kuyamis 2024 pageant.
The audience reveled in a night of enchantment, highlighted by a breathtaking fireworks display from Chada Fireworks, the1st Mayor Klarex Uy Pyromusical Fireworks Competition Entry # 5 and eventual Champion. Families strolled through the capitol grounds, embracing the festive glow of lights—a cherished tradition for many.
The event not only brought joy but also provided a boost to local businesses, with grateful small entrepreneurs noting increased sales.
Governor Peter “Sr. Pedro” M. Unabia graced the event and welcomed Misamis Oriental Department Heads, Association of Tourism Officers in Mindanao, and special guests, creating a festive atmosphere for all capitol employees and attendees.
Aligned with Governor Pedro’s PAGLAUM development agenda, emphasizing goal-oriented tourism, this celebration reflects a commitment to uplift the community during the holiday season. The provincial government aims to instill hope, embodying the spirit of resilience and unity in Misamis Oriental.
