LTFRB-10: Normin marks zero transpo strike

by Jan Albert K. Araña

MISAMIS ORIENTAL (PIA)–As some transport groups marched into the streets and called for a nationwide week-long strike, the Land Transportation and Franchise Regulatory Board (LTFRB)-10 monitored zero transport strikes all throughout northern Mindanao, March 6.

In the event that some transport groups joined the call for the protest, the LTFRB-10 kept an eye on the state of the transportation movement throughout the area around-the-clock to make sure that commuters wouldn’t suffer from the strike.

During the monitoring, the agency saw that no transportation groups were on strike and that no routes were changed because there were no public utility vehicle franchises. The monitoring units did not notice any pickets, placards, or issues posted in relation to the issue on LTFRB Memorandum Circular No. 2023-013.

The LTFRB-10 will keep an eye on the transport strike by MANIBELA that has been going on for a week, even though the northern Mindanao Federation of Transport Service Cooperative (NOMFEDTRASCO) has already denied having anything to do with it. (JAKA/PIA-10/Misamis Oriental)
