Misamis Oriental – The League of Municipalities of the Philippines, Misamis Oriental Chapter spearheaded by Governor Peter “Sr. Pedro” M. Unabia, held its 1st Quarter Meeting at Hotel Monicon in El Salvador City. This meeting served as a platform for Municipal leaders to gather and discuss pressing issues and strategic initiatives for the province’s development.
Among the main topics of discussion was the operation of the small-town lottery (STL) in the province. Leaders addressed the concerns regarding its regulation, compliance, and community impact related to STL operations.
Another significant agenda item was the presentation of strategies from the Single-Digit Poverty Incidence (SDPI) 2028 Strategy Formulation Workshop, which was previously held in Cebu City. Mayors and Board Members were briefed on the strategies aimed at addressing poverty and improving socio-economic conditions in the province.
This initiative is outlined with the governor’s Paglaum Strategic Agenda focusing on Participatory Governance, which provides an opportunity for municipal leaders to collaborate, share insights, and develop collective strategies to address challenges and enhance the welfare of their communities in Misamis Oriental.
