CAGAYAN DE ORO CITY – Former Secretary of the Department of National Defense hinted at running for senator in the upcoming elections.
Former DND Secretary Norberto Gonzales said he is offering a new brand of genuine politics used by many democratic countries of the world.
“I ran for president in the past. But the intention of running is not about winning or losing but of introducing the kind of politics that our nation deserves,” he claimed.
Gonzales said that during the presidential debate hosted by SMNI he received 10 million FB likes. “That gives me hope that people are still open for changes,” he said.
Gonzales also said that the Filipino people should welcome a brand of politics that is really a key to developments in the country, not a politics that is only enjoyed by the moneyed politicians.
Gonzales lost when he ran for president in the past elections.
“I do not mind winning or losing the elections so long as I introduce the politics that is not all money, money, but genuine politics for all,” he concluded.
