COWD has engaged the services of the Balibago Waterworks System, Inc. to deliver 1,000 cubic meters per day of bulk water at predetermined injection points to supply both Pag-ibig Citihomes and Youngsville Subdivision located in Opol Municipality.
Pipelaying for this venture is in progress and water delivery is due to commence 200 days from receipt of the Notice to Proceed which was last January 6, 2023. This means that Balibago start-up delivery will begin on July 25, 2023 and shall continue, as per contract, for 20 years, increasing to 1,500 cu.m. per day in 2031 and 2,000 cu.m. per day in 2038 until 2041.
On March 27, 2023, COWD, along with subcontractor Jejors Construction Corporation, started work on the Pipeline Modification Project located at the approach of Opol Bridge.
The project intends to repair the existing leak and revamp the 300mm diameter steel pipe along with its supporting structure in order to re-open the valves and resume water delivery through this pipeline. This is expected to improve the water supply to Opol area.
The project is slated for completion within 30 days after the starting date.
