The City of Cagayan de Oro joins the Filipino nation in celebrating the 82nd Araw ng Kagitingan tomorrow, Tuesday, April 9, with a short program starting at 7:00 AM at the El Pueblo a Sus Heroes monument at Plaza Divisoria.
Expected to lead the commemorative rites with theme: “Pagpaparangal sa Kagitingan nga mga Beterano: Saligan para sa Nagkakaisang Pilipino”, are City Mayor Rolando ‘Klarex’ Uy, 4ID Philippine Army Commander MGen Jose Maria R. Cuerpo ll, Col. Jose Paler, regional president of the Veterans Federation of the Philippines (VFP) and Ms. Ma. Luisa P. Revecho from the Region X Philippine Veterans Affairs Office (PVAO) Field Services Extension Office (FSEO).
Also joining the occasion with the wreath laying in memory of the Kagay-anon fallen are members of the 20th City Council, city hall department managers sa city hall, regional officers of national government agencies, chairmen of the city’s 80 barangays, and officers of the Armed Forces of the Philippines, Philippine National Police, Bureau of Fire Protection, and civil society organizations.
