The National Bureau of Investigation arrested a suspect who allegedly trafficked women and rescued five victims from a so-called “online spa massage service.”
In a Friday statement, the NBI Special Task Force said they received information that suspect Dennis Cansino, alias Baste, allegedly transported and harbored women and minors for sexual exploitation.
One of his alleged underage victims confirmed Cansino’s illegal activities in a sworn statement and claimed that she was raped by him when she was 15 years old.
Surveillance operations further confirmed the suspect’s trafficking activities and also uncovered that he forced minors into having sexual intercourse with him before they were offered to clients.
The implementation of a Warrant to Search, Seize, and Examine Computer Data (WSSECD) revealed child pornography on the suspect’s gadgets.
The suspect, who initially resisted arrest, was apprehended during an operation in San Mateo, Rizal.
A total of four female victims, including a minor, and a minor boy were rescued in an operation.
The suspect will face charges for violating the Anti-Online Sexual Exploitation of Children, Expanded Anti-Trafficking in Persons Act of 2022 in relation to the Cybercrime Prevention Act of 2012, and the Special Protection of Children against Abuse. — DVM, GMA Integrated News
