CAGAYAN DE ORO CITY- Nestle Philippines and Local Government Unit entering into an agreement to focus on environmental cleanliness and disease prevention were particularly impacted by this Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) which had been signed.
Mayor Klarex Uy thanked Nestlé Philippines for giving people in Cagayan de Oro City a chance to remain healthy through maintaining clean living environments.
“Daghang salamat sa kahigayonan nga gihatag sa Nestlé Philippines sa dakbayan sa Cagayan de Oro, ilabi na sa mga tawo kansang mga paningkamot nakatabang sa paglimpyo sa atong palibot” he said.
translate: “Thank you very much for the opportunity given by Nestlé Philippines to the city of Cagayan de Oro, especially to the people whose efforts help keep our surroundings clean.”
This ceremonial MOU signing means a lot in terms of committing towards better quality life for Filipinos by promoting healthier lifestyles and efficient waste management practices. This partnership between Nestlé Philippines and local government will also improve existing nutrition, health and eco-sustainable projects among others.
The company’s dedication was reiterated by Joey Uy., Senior Vice President & Head-Nestlé Corporate Affairs during an interview as he stated, “Our commitment is about Quality life for our Filipino citizens enabling them live healthier happily.”
One key purpose of this collaboration is to increase job opportunities in CDO through expanding presence of Nestlé in the locality. In order contribute towards economic growth and prosperity within society through investment in local infrastructure development and workforce training initiatives.
In addition, Nestle conducted orientation on “NO TIME TO WASTE: CLIMATE CHANGE AND SOLID MANAGEMENT TALKS” a number of employees from local government units attended this informative session aimed at raising awareness about environmental problems as well as advocating sustainable practices.
The orientation put much emphasis on the immediate need to act on climate change and the importance of taking care of waste. Participants were also educated how human activities have caused a lot of impacts to the natural environment and therefore, they need to be proactive in lessening their ecological footprints.
These are just some examples among others where Nestlé Philippines and Cagayan de Oro City local government are trying to establish a better future in terms of cleanliness, healthiness for all people.
They are targeting positive transformation that would make lasting differences to the lives of its customers by creating partnerships as well as involving them during decision-making processes within their business areas.
