CAGAYAN DE ORO CITY – Fernando Vincent Q. Dy, Jr., Head of the Misamis Oriental Provincial Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (MisOr PDRRMO) announced the launch of an app in the country for a better disaster management.
MisOr PDRRMO introduced this new app as the EEOC or Everyday Emergency Operations Center that will now enable them to swiftly respond to earthquakes, heavy downpour, and all other kinds of adversities including crimes.
Mr. Dy lamented that not all municipalities of the province are able to procure equipments for emergency responses saying “Kung adunay mga bag-ong ekipo ang lungsod sa El Salvador sama sa mga sophisticated emergency response vehicles, dili nato kini makumpara sa lungsod sa Binuangan (If the city of El Salvador has new equipments such as emergency response vehicles, we cannot compare these to those in Binuangan).”
(The EEOC is a very nice system said Governor Peter M. Unabia. If there is an emergency like a fire incident, it is very easy to access the app because it’s just one click away.)”
MisOr PDRRMO assured this app will finally solve the delayed responses in disaster management during calamities and crimes which have been happening every now and then all over the province.
