Growing with nature while embracing innovation, New Clark City is bringing the Philippines to the global stage as the country’s only official participant for the New7Wonders of Future Cities.
The global voting campaign officially opened on October 31, coinciding with World Cities Day, through a switch-on ceremony at the New Clark City Athletics Stadium.

Located in Capas, Tarlac, New Clark City joins more than 200 future cities worldwide vying for recognition as models of sustainable, resilient, and people-centered urban development.
Leading the ceremony were New7Wonders Director and campaign chairman Jean-Paul Dela Fuente, Bases Conversion and Development Authority (BCDA) Vice President Richard Brian Cepe, and OIC–Vice President and Division Chief for Creatives and Events Ching Pangilinan, alongside representatives from the Capas Tourism Office.

Cepe highlighted seven strengths of New Clark City, including its people-centered design, resilience, sports and recreation facilities, economic opportunities, and role as a growth center beyond Metro Manila.

Meanwhile, Dela Fuente emphasized how the global campaign connects the past and future by empowering people worldwide to choose cities worthy of international recognition. The New7Wonders movement’s first global campaign, launched on July 7, 2007, has garnered more than 600 million votes.

Beyond prestige, the initiative offers opportunities to boost tourism, education, and socioeconomic development while showcasing cities that balance progress with environmental sustainability.
Filipinos are encouraged to support the country’s only official participant and help put New Clark City on the global map of future-ready cities.
