The program operates as a core component of President Ferdinand Marcos Jr.’s Expanded Pambansang Pabahay para sa Pilipino (4PH) Program.
SHFC president and CEO Federico Laxa, Quezon City Representative Marivic Co-Pilar and DHSUD Undersecretaries Richard Michael Dimagiba and Marisol Anenias led the handover ceremony. Dimagiba represented Housing Secretary Jose Ramon Aliling.
Association president Rosalinda Boy expressed gratitude on behalf of the beneficiaries, noting that her family had waited more than 30 years to secure legal ownership of their residential property.
“This day is deeply significant to us because after more than three decades, our dream of owning our own land has finally come true,” Boy said. “Having a title means a great deal to our families because it provides security and hope.”
In a statement read at the ceremony, Aliling highlighted the milestones achieved by shelter agencies, including SHFC’s Enhanced Community Mortgage Program, which has assisted more than 8,100 families nationwide since its rollout in July 2025.
“Home is the foundation of a safe, orderly, and dignified community, providing security, stability, and hope to every family,” Laxa said during the event.
National Shelter Month is observed every October under Proclamation No. 662, series of 2004. This year’s observance carries the theme “Tahanan. Pamayanan. Kinabukasan.”
The launch event included the opening of public information booths where citizens can inquire about government housing initiatives, including SHFC vertical housing developments such as Crystal Peak Estates in San Fernando, Pampanga, and Port Town in Tondo, Manila.
