ANGELES CITY – In partnership with its Central Luzon counterpart, the Department of Trade and Industry Region 2 officially opened the “NVyond Borders: Pampanga – A Lako ti Vizcayano Trade Fair” on Sept. 21 at the Activity Center, Ayala Malls MarQuee here.
To run until Sept. 26, the trade fair serves as a market-linkage platform to bring the local flavors, unique craftsmanship, and culture of micro, small, and medium enterprises from Nueva Vizcaya directly to buyers and shoppers in Central Luzon.
In a statement of support, the city government led by Mayor Carmelo “Jon” B. Lazatin II said that the trade fair features more than the commodities on sale but individual stories of people behind the products.
“Higit pa sa isang trade fair, tampok dito ang mga kuwento ng mga taong nasa likod ng bawat produkto—mula sa mga magsasakang nagtatanim at nag-aani ng ating pagkain, mga artisan na nagpapanatili ng kanilang galing at tradisyon, hanggang sa mga negosyanteng nagsisikap na maibahagi ang kanilang mga produkto sa mas maraming Pilipino,” said the statement. “Sa bawat gulay, prutas, pagkain, likhang-kamay, at iba pang produktong makikita rito, may kasamang kuwento ng sipag, talento, pagkamalikhain, at pagiging tunay na Vizcayano.”
The mayor urged his constituents to come to the trade fair, engage with the producers and entrepreneurs, partake of the products, and buy, as a support to the farmers and MSMEs in their livelihood endeavors.
