Two-storey Wooden House In Sta. Cruz, Manila Collapses Amid Heavy Rains

OWING to recent heavy rains and strong winds, an old house located in Sta. Cruz, Manila collapsed. Fortunately, no one was reported injured or killed in the incident.

A report from the Manila Police District – Station 3 said the two-storey house that collapsed is located at No. 1409 Tayuman St., Barangay 353 in Sta. Cruz and owned by a certain Yolanda Lising, 75, who currently resides in Quezon City.

It was learned that the office of PMaj. Eduardo Zaragoza, Alvarez PCP Commander, received a call reporting that amid the heavy downpour, the house which had been unoccupied for some time, suddenly collapsed.

According to Barangay 353 Chairperson Angelina Suansing Gorospe, the old house was already scheduled for demolition when the incident took place.
