Police arrested five suspected drug pushers who are included in the list of high value targets in a raid on a suspected drug den in Taguig City.
Aside from the arrest of the five suspects, Taguig City police chief Col. Julius Añonuevo said they also confiscated more than P1 million worth of illegal drugs during the raid in Barangay Central Bicutan early Sunday, Aug. 16.
He said among those arrested was a senior citizen who was confirmed to be the maintainer of the alleged drug den in Barangay Bicutan.
“All those arrested are classified as high-value individuals,” said Añonuevo, adding the seized item was around 160 grams of suspected shabu.
Añonuevo also expressed gratitude to the City Government of Taguig headed by mayor Lani Cayetano for what he described as continued support for the police force and its anti-illegal drug campaign:
The suspects were taken to the Southern Police District office for documentation and proper disposition.
He said all those arrested face charges of violations of Sections 5, 6, 11 and 26 of Republic Act No. 9165, or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
