The anti-illegal drug operation was conducted by the Provincial Intelligence Unit (PIU) headed by Lieutenant Colonel Mark Lester Eteroza and members of the Medellin Police Station at 1:50 p.m.
Police identified the suspect as 34-year-old Arnel Henobiagon Porlasin.
They said Porlasin is in the high-value individual provincial database.
They seized a white crystalline substance believed to be shabu weighing 250 grams with a drug standard price of P1.7 million from the suspect.
The PIU had placed Porlasin under surveillance after receiving reports that he was selling drugs in Medellin and in neighboring towns.
Police are now trying to determine the identity of Porlasin’s supplier. (AYB, PJB)
