The Philippine Statistics Authority – Regional Statistical Services Office X (PSA RSSO X), in partnership with the Bureau of Jail Management and Penology (BJMP) Region X, Cagayan de Oro City Jail – Male Dormitory, continued its efforts to bring National ID registration and civil registration services closer to Persons Deprived of Liberty (PDLs) through an onsite service activity conducted on 19 June 2026.
The activity forms part of the continuing collaboration between PSA RSSO X and BJMP Region X to ensure that PDLs have access to essential government services, particularly legal identity and civil registration. Through the National ID registration, eligible PDLs were provided the opportunity to establish and strengthen their legal identity, enabling them to access various government and private sector services.
Joining the initiative was the PSA Civil Registration System (CRS) Mobile Outlet, which provided onsite issuance and processing of civil registry documents, including Security Paper (SecPa) copies of birth certificates. The mobile service enabled PDLs to conveniently obtain vital documents needed for various transactions and requirements.
The sustained collaboration between PSA RSSO X and BJMP Region X reflects both agencies’ commitment to making government services more accessible and inclusive. By bringing National ID registration and civil registration services directly to jail facilities, the partnership helps ensure that PDLs are recognized through legal identity and supported in their rehabilitation and eventual reintegration into society.
The Philippine Statistics Authority remains steadfast in its mission of bringing the National ID System and civil registration services closer to every Filipino, ensuring that no one is left behind in the pursuit of inclusive and responsive governance.
