Kapampangan officer tops US war course , Punto! Central Luzon

Major Krisjuper Andreo Punsalan of the Philippine Army emerged as the top graduate of the Public Affairs Course for International Students (PACIS) 010-2026 of the United States Department of War’s Defense Information School (DINFOS) at Fort Meade, Maryland on May 20, 2026.

Punsalan, Chief of the Public Information Branch of the Philippine Army’s Office of the Chief Public Affairs, was named Distinguished Honor Graduate after placing first among military delegates from Brazil, Italy, Jordan, Latvia, Lithuania, the Philippines, South Korea, and Taiwan.

Fellow Filipino officers Major Mark Anthony G. Cardinoza and Major Gen Adrian M. Gautane also ranked among the top finishers, placing third and sixth respectively.

A native of the City of San Fernando and Apalit, Pampanga, Punsalan previously received the Matenakang Anak Ning Apalit award in 2024 and The Outstanding Fernandino recognition in 2025 for his exemplary military service that brought pride to Kapampangans.

He finished his elementary education at Asian Montessori Center, attended Mother of Good Counsel Seminary for high school, earned his college degree from the University of Santo Tomas, and later completed an executive program at the Asian Institute of Management.
