Taking advantage of the Holy Week break, the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) announced it will undertake repairs in several major roads in Metro Manila.
According to its social media post and a report on State of the Nation on Tuesday, the 24/7 “road rehabilitation and maintenance projects” will affect major thoroughfares in Metro Manila from March 30, 2026 to April 6, 2026.
“Travelers are advised to plan their routes in advance, anticipate increased travel time, or take alternate roytes to avoid construction zones,” the DPWH said.
Among the affected areas are the following:
- EDSA Soutbound Magallanes Flyover
- EDSA Orense Street to Buendia Avenue
- Rosario Bridge along Ortigas Avenue
- Macarthur Highway, Barangay Karuhatan
- E. Rodriguez Sr. Avenue – Mariablo Bridge to G. Araneta Avenue
- G. Araneta Avenue – Northbound near E. Rodriguez Sr.
- San Juan Bridge – Northbound along G. Araneta Avenue
- Lambingan Bridge along Aurora Boulevard
- Almirante Creek, Las PInas City
- Alabang-Muntinlupa Road, Muntinlupa City
- P. Quirino Bridge along Pres. Quirino Avenue
The DPWH will undertake excavation, retrofitting, laying of HOPE pipe elbow, and concreting works, among others. —LDF, GMA News
