The Vienna Boys Choir will return to Manila for concerts on April 26 and 27 at the Newport Performing Arts Theater, marking its first performance in the Philippines in 10 years.
The visit coincides with the 80th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Austria and the Philippines, which will be observed in 2026.
Founded in 1498, the Vienna Boys Choir is based in Vienna, Austria and is composed of around 100 choristers aged 9 to 14, organized into touring groups that perform internationally. The choir’s repertoire includes classical works, sacred music, traditional Austrian pieces and international selections.

The Manila program will feature a mix of European choral works, Austrian compositions and other well-known pieces.
“The Vienna Boys Choir is one of Austria’s most treasured cultural ambassadors,” said Austrian Ambassador to the Philippines Johann Brieger. “Their return to Manila after 10 years is an opportunity to share Austria’s musical heritage with Filipino audiences and to celebrate the longstanding friendship between our two countries, especially as we look ahead to the 80th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Austria and the Philippines in 2026.”
The choir’s history is closely linked to Vienna’s musical tradition and has been associated with composers such as Mozart, Schubert and Bruckner.
The Manila concerts are presented by Ovation Productions in collaboration with the Austrian Embassy in Manila, with support from the Cultural Center of the Philippines. Tickets are available through SM Tickets outlets and its online platform.
