A fourth batch of repatriates is set to return from Israel amid the ongoing conflict in the Middle East.
According to a statement by the Department of Migrant Workers (DMW) on Friday, the group of 26 individuals consisted of 22 Overseas Filipino Workers (OFWs), a child, and three tourists.
The group had crossed the Taba Border on Thursday and received assistance from the Philippine Embassy in Cairo to process their immigration requirements.
The DMW-OWWA Rapid Response Team handled their accommodations pending their flight home.
The new group followed after the return of 317 Filipinos from the region on a flight that landed at Villamor Airbase in Pasay City on Thursday.
DMW shared that 2,099 OFWs and their dependents have so far returned to the Philippines due to the Middle Eastern conflict. –NB, GMA Integrated News
