Manila Mayor Francisco “Isko Moreno” Domagoso announced that the City Government of Manila is targeting March for the grand raffle of its public housing units, as part of efforts to ensure a fair and transparent distribution to qualified beneficiaries.

The mayor said the city is currently reviewing and cleansing its housing database to ensure that only eligible applicants are included in the raffle.

The process aims to prevent irregularities encountered in the past and to protect taxpayers’ money by ensuring that housing units are awarded properly.

Domagoso explained that government employees may qualify if they have a monthly salary of P18,000 or below.

At the same time, informal settler beneficiaries will be assessed based on their current location and eligibility under the city’s housing program.

To promote transparency, the mayor said the city government plans to publicly present and livestream the available housing units so applicants and residents can witness the process.

Among the housing projects expected to be included in the upcoming raffle are the Pedro Gil Residences and San Sebastian Residences, two of the city’s vertical housing developments intended to provide safe and decent homes for qualified Manileño families.

The grand raffle forms part of the city’s broader housing initiative to address the needs of low-income residents and government workers, while ensuring accountability and fairness in the allocation of public housing.
