A police officer rammed into at least 15 vehicles along Cayetano Boulevard in Barangay Tuktukan on Monday evening.
According to a report by Super Radyo dzBB’s Sam Nielsen on Tuesday, the officer—assigned to the PNP Aviation Security Group—is now under the custody of the Taguig City Police Traffic Bureau.
Initial investigation showed that the officer’s vehicle allegedly suffered brake failure. The driver attempted to steer to the right but instead plowed into vehicles along the roadside.
Of the 15 vehicles involved, 14 were motorcycles and one was a car.
Several motorcycle riders and passengers sustained minor injuries, while others were taken to a hospital for treatment. Some of the motorcycles were heavily damaged in the incident.
The report added that the officer will no longer face charges after settling with the victims, but will remain liable for the damages caused by the crash.—Vince Angelo Ferreras/MCG, GMA Integrated News
