At least one person sustained injuries after a fire broke out in a residential area in Sitio 6, Barangay Catmon in Malabon City.
According to Jamie Santos’ Wednesday report on “Saksi,” residents said the fire spread quickly, prompting them to immediately evacuate to a safer area.
The fire reached Task Force Alpha level at 5:40 p.m.
The Malabon City government reported that one resident was brought to a super health center for medical treatment.
Another person experienced hyperventilation.
Meanwhile, a firefighter needed to be treated after he was bitten by a dog while responding to the blaze.
The fire was declared under control at 9:47 p.m.
The Malabon City Social Welfare Department has set up tents at an evacuation center and will provide assistance to affected residents.
