CAGAYAN DE ORO CITY: Unidentified gunmen shot dead a radio commentator in Bislig City Monday, July 22, 2025, morning on his way home after hosting his radio program, the Caraga regional police said.
The victim identified as Erwin Labitad Segovia, 63, of Purok 2, Bogac Dist. , Mangagoy, Bislig City, host a radio commentary program at WOW FM Bislig.
The report from Bislig Police monitored from here reported that Segovia was riding his motorcycle, a Suzuki Raider with plate number XZ5302 when shot at close range by unidentified gunmen riding tandem on a black TMX motorcycle.
Responding police said that Segovia died on the spot due to gunshot wound on the head. The motive of the killing remains unknown.

Carla Lopez-Pechay, wife of former Cong. Prospero Butch Pechay, Jr. offered a P 1 million reward money to those who could provide information about the suspects.
The Caraga regional poloce said that the Bislig Police Office has launched a manhunt to arrest the suspects.
