WATCH: Davao City employees march in black at Araw ng Dabaw, Manila and Kalibo riders hold motorcades

Supporters of Rodrigo Duterte assembled in various locations in the country to show their support for the former president who is now being held in a prison in The Hague, The Netherlands.

In his report in Super Radyo dzBB, John Ryan Calonia said employees of the Davao City government wore black as they march in support of former president Rodrigo Duterte during the Araw ng Dabaw on Sunday, March 16, 2025.

The public display is the latest in what has been a series of actions that have been taking in place around the country after the arrest of the former president last Tuesday on the strength of a warrant from the International Criminal Court (ICC) for murder charges as a crime against humanity in connection with his deadly drug war that reportedly resulted in the deaths of at least 6,000 people.

In Metro Manila, Duterte supporters showed their support via a motorcade from Manila to Quezon City.

A report by dzBB’s Carlo Mateo and Mao dela Cruz said that after assembling at the Quirino Grandstand in Manila on Sunday morning, the group of mostly motorcycle riders rode along Manila City Hall, the Supreme Court and the Quezon Memorial Circle before heading to Fairview in Quezon City via Quezon Avenue and Commonwealth Avenue.

In posters and chants, the protesters demanded that the former president be brought back to the Philippines.

In Kalibo, Aklan, Annie Lee Bautista of Super Radyo Kalibo reported that a group of riders wearing white t-shirts proclaiming “I support FPRRD” staged a motorcade that ended with a program focused on their call for Duterte to be returned to the Philippines.
