Free rides will be given to female passengers in Metro Rail Transit Line 3 (MRT-3) on Saturday, March 8, in celebration of Women’s Day.
In a statement, MRT-3 said the free rides for women will be available from 7 a.m. to 9 a.m. as and from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m.
MRT-3 general manager Engr. Oscar Bongon said the free ride offer aims to acknowledge and thank women for their important role in society.
“Ang libreng sakay po ay simpleng paraan ng MRT-3 upang maipakita ang suporta sa bawat Juana at mabigyang-pugay ang kanilang mga sakripisyo para sa kanilang mga pamilya,” Bongon said.
(The free ride is a simple way for MRT-3 to show support for every Juana and honor their sacrifices for their families.)
“Nawa ay magdulot ito ng kahit kaunting kaginhawaan sa kanila sa kanilang espesyal na araw,” he added.
(May this bring at least a little comfort to them on their special day.)
The MRT-3 management will also give special Women’s Month tokens to female passengers on Friday.
