Marcos, Cambodian PM seek to improve bilateral ties

Cambodian Prime Minister Hun Manet is set to arrive in the Philippines next week for an official visit as the two countries look to improve bilateral ties. 

The Presidential Communications said President Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr. will meet the Cambodian Prime Minister on Tuesday. 

“The President will have a bilateral meeting with the Cambodian Prime Minister on 11 February to discuss advancing cooperation in combatting transnational crimes, defense, trade, tourism, regional and multilateral cooperation,” the PCO said in a statement released on Saturday. 

PCO added that this will be Hun Manet’s first official visit to the Philippines. He will be in the country from February 10 to 11. 

Currently, there are more than 7,000 Filipinos living and working in Cambodia.
