The Department of Health (DOH) has dismissed false claims circulating online about supposed “Faculty of Medicine” members visiting households to conduct blood sugar tests using HIV-contaminated needles.
In a statement issued on Saturday, the DOH clarified that the Philippine National Police had already debunked the rumor, labeling it a baseless scare tactic.
“The DOH urges the public not to share unverified claims that may cause unnecessary alarm,” the statement read.
The Health Department also encouraged the public to rely solely on legitimate sources and official platforms for accurate information. — DVM, GMA Integrated News
